About RoyGBev
Hi, I’m Michael Beverly. I got my first pinball machine at 16, a Bally Paragon, and ever since, I’ve been involved in pinball in one way or another. I’ve owned about 30 machines over the years, repaired hundreds more, and now have a collection of 15. In 2008 I designed and built the first (that I know of) Nixie tube pinball display for use in Bally/Stern machines, and showed it at the 2010 Texas Pinball Festival. I’ve done some 6800 and PIC assembly language, and built designed and built lots of other fun electronic projects over the years.
The design of the hardware we make and sell, and the software we load on it, is available for free to use. Dick Hamill designed the adapter, wrote Stars2020, and offered it to the pinball community for free. Most of the pinball projects that grew from this project can be found on github at https://github.com/BallySternOS You can build, program, and install it all yourself.
